Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) is a widely used in the building industry to reduce the transfer of sound passing through ceilings and walls, via its heavyweight, flexible loaded vinyl composition. MLV can also reduce interference noise such as rain, aircrafts, traffic, loud machinery, and electronic audio technologies, such as radio and television.
The most common way to install the lining is to hang MLV in a ceiling/roof space, laid over a ceiling area, either side of partition walls, or, used as a base layer beneath wall linings on internal walls.
There is also a broader use of MLV providing effective and lasting results, in areas such as, theatre and meeting rooms, fencing, acoustic doors, portable screens and automobile cabins.
